Katie Johnson is a San Francisco Bay Area native who moved to Sacramento in August 2002 to major in Photography at Sacramento State. Born and raised in the East Bay, it was a 4-year struggle after highschool to find her passion. Finally, it came to her in a dream after bringing her camera to her job at a local preschool. She awoke the next morning wanting to be a photographer, and has never turned back!
On December 18, 2004, she completed step one of her dream, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Photography.
Through friends Adam & Danielle Varona of Ferocious Kitty Media, Katie has found herself in the midst of the local music scene in Sacramento, keeping busy most of the time photographing bands and artists around town, both live shots and for promotional use.
Outside of the musical arena, you'll find her documenting special events such as weddings, parties, theater performances, fashion shows, athletic events and corporate gatherings for families, individuals and publications, as well as shooting family and individual portraits, headshots, and modeling portfolios. |
